The House that God Built
I wrote this story not long after my conversion 13 years ago. It is an allegory in the tradition of The Pilgrim’s Progress. Though, at the time I penned it I had never even heard of John Bunyan’s classic work (which has so obviously influenced me). The House that God Built tells the story of a young man who is building his house on the solid rock of the gospel of Jesus Christ. The builder meets opposition from his neighbors but stands firm on God’s eternal word. He perseveres through the trials and tribulations of life that we all experience, but without faltering. His faith in God is unshaken by any circumstance because his foundation is on the rock. This is the story of every man born-again by the Spirit of God.
Wow that’S all i could say when i read the titled “THE HOUSE THAT GOD BUILT”,because this story was one of a kind it wasnt just a story to be i was a wake up call that i need to heed. This fiction was quite unique because it had advise and at the same time teaching us values i even wrote my english essay based on this story keep up the good work
Wow, that story sounds really good and inspiring. People don’t understand when we decide to build our lives on Jesus the Rock, but in the long run it is well worth it.
I wrote an allegory too. Mine is like a modernized version of “Pilgrim’s Progress” called “Karen The Lightbearer.” The story is about a teenage girl that is called by the Good King to be His Lightbearer in a world full of the Darkness of Deception.
The story is a free e-book and you can find it at this blog address: http://lightbearersforjesuschrist.wordpress.com.
May God continue to bless you as you write for the Kingdom Of Heaven!
